SY Tang & Co. didn’t start as a business plan.
Our principal never set out to start her own firm.
But when someone close to her came under legal attack from a powerful, politically connected figure in Sarawak, she couldn’t turn away. He was being bullied through the legal system—doors were closing, lawyers were declining, and fee quotes were designed to shut him out.
That was the turning point. If the system bends to power, then someone must stand their ground.
